4 July 2025 – European Commissioner for Trade Maroš Šefčovič (S&D) is currently in Washington to negotiate a much-needed trade deal with the US government on behalf of the European Union before 9 July 2025. But can the Trade Commissioner really deliver? Šefčovič, who has been working for the Commission since 2009, has not yet been able to show any real successes.
