A Temporary Suspension Mechanism for EU Steel Tariffs? – Stainless Espresso

12 December 2025 – Some Members of the European Parliament have submitted an amendment proposing a “Temporary Suspension Mechanism for Steel Tariffs.” Surprisingly, this proposal, which would, among other things, push domestic steel producers to comply with the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement, did not come from the Green Group in the European Parliament.
